Our Programs
Christian Education:
In line with our devotion to the Bible, we offer many opportunities for Bible study. Sunday mornings, you will find a selection of Sunday school classes for all ages.
 |
- Our adults are walking through the Old Testament, finding examples of God’s faithfulness in every account.
- Our teenagers are studying Rick Warren’s The Purpose Driven Life, great timing for young adults on the verge of making some of life’s most important decisions.
- Our elementary students are involved in Metamorphosis. Just as caterpillars change, so can we. God’s love and power in our lives makes all that possible. Proverbs has all sorts of good advice for successful living, and the kids are getting a big dose of right living every week. By following the Bible’s wisdom, they are learning how to transform their attitudes, talk, and behavior.

We have also started a study program called Wednesday Night Live. Starting with a potluck dinner at 6 pm, this is the place to be each week for great fellowship, wonderful food, and meaningful discussion. We are studying a series called “The Top 50 Questions Ever Asked About Christianity.” Some are questions posed by believers, some by those who are still undecided about their commitment to Christ. No pat, pithy, bumper-sticker-style answers. These are deep, thought-provoking questions and answers. What you believe makes a huge difference in your life, and understanding your beliefs makes you able to share your hope with others. Thursday mornings at 10:30, we repeat the prior night’s study for those who are unable to attend Wednesday evenings.
Each week, our traditional service features acclaimed guest vocalists and instrumentalists from all over the United States who bless us with their musical talent. Various members of our congregation favor us with solos, duets and instrumentals from time to time, which also add to the musical experience.
Each Wednesday at noon during the Lenten Season, we have a concert series known as "Twenty Minutes with God." The Treasure Coast community eagerly anticipates these concerts, which feature guest artists from the area, performing organ, piano and vocal music. Our annual Easter Cantata is done on Palm Sunday and is a musical highlight of our year. Our fine Chancel Choir, joined by guest singers and musicians from the community, presents a meaningful and heartfelt service of worship.
Our annual Christmas Eve service is a musical highlight as well. We feature a thirty-minute concert prior to a service filled with music and seasonal readings. Our congregation and many guests from the community enjoy this seasonal high point and plan on attending well in advance.
There is always room for more in our midst. We welcome newcomers with open arms and invite you to join us for worshiping our God through music. Our aim and goal in the music department of First Presbyterian Church of Stuart is to glorify our Lord and Savior and to minister to His children, as an addition to the spoken word, through the ministry of music.
